Finding Husband/Wife in College

Actually, 11. And all 11 of them require some kind of clear and convincing evidence of a husband and wife relationship, not just cohabitation, for a period of a lot longer than a year-more like 3 to 5 years. That is, each party considers the other a spouse, not just a live-in gf/bf.

You get around common law marriage by representing to others that you are NOT married. Because all 11 common law marriage states require that you represent to others that you are “married”.

Is this not correct?

Alabama
Colorado
Georgia (if created before 1/1/97)
Idaho (if created before 1/1/96)
Iowa
Kansas
Montana
New Hampshire (for inheritance purposes only)
Ohio (if created before 10/10/91)
Oklahoma (possibly only if created before 11/1/98. Oklahoma’s laws and court decisions may be in conflict about whether common law marriages formed in that state after 11/1/98 will be recognized.)
Pennsylvania (if created before 1/1/05)
Rhode Island
South Carolina
Texas
Utah
Washington, D.C.

Though I see I miscounted anyway. lol

I am almost 26. Finished grad school in late 2008 and now write freelance for a living, making a pitiful amount. I never met the lady of my dreams in college, I probably could I tried harder.

I will only say this, the social opportunities dry up after college dramatically. Maximize your exposure, risk being a fool to find love.

I’d hope to meet the right girl asap, and marry before I am 27 now. I had always hoped to find the one and marry before 25, but that didnt come to pass. Now another year has all but passed me by…

Damn, I miss college!

“After 4-5 times of having sex with the same women you get bored, variety is the spice of life.”
Haha I agree! I never made it past 6 times with a guy because I was practically falling asleep. In fact I did once. ZZzzZZZZzzz
