Pretty self-explanitory. I am going to finish Fall 2010 (thanks IDS department for letting me work towards a major you aren't taking students into after this year... bitterness) and I was wondering if I had to wait until summer 2011 to walk or if they'd let me walk Spring '10? And if anyone has experience walking early, who do I contact to make those arrangements? My grandmother is really sick so the sooner I can walk, the better so she can let herself go. She's waiting on me to graduate. Thanks!

well its gonna take a lot of physical therapy to walk again…

You can walk either spring 2010 or 2011- you get to choose

Yes, if you are graduating Fall 2010 and would like to walk in the Spring 2010 commencement ceremony, there are two things you can do. One, you can file a SIP (special inclusion petition). The other way is to change your Expected Degree Term to Summer 2010 on URSA, and then change it back to Fall 2010 after commencement. This way, you can avoid filing the petition and still have your name included in the commencement program.

Great, thanks! Sorry for the confusion. I can walk, I’m physically fine. I meant walk like participate in the commencement ceremony. MY grandmother is in the hospital with advanced Parkinson’s and osteoporosis.
