Tae kwon do Federation 1st degree black belt (4 years)

Hook (for now): 1-2 years younger than average student in same grade (i skipped 8th grade)...lol

So you're about 12 or 13 years old and concerned about being on the "right track" with those stellar grades. What do you want us to say...that you need to bring up that A- in PE? Seriously, you already know you're a bright and talented kid, but there's something about your post (do-or-die 800?) that makes me think this whole college preparation thing has distorted the values of many high schoolers, making them too self-absorbed at too early an age. Go out and live a little!

You're absolutely fine. Go join more extracurriculars that interest you, stop taking standardized tests (why the heck are you taking them this early?!?? you're not going to do as well) and don't worry.

I got harassed for making one of these threads.

I doubt that pre calc thing. I'm taking pre calc my sophomore year and it doesn't matter how stellar your SAT Math scores or placement test was, everyone starts at ALG/TRIG or lower.

I also don't believe the AP Bio/AP Physics.

Unless you went to CTY Lancaster Session I, year 2005. But I think he skipped five years not just two.

Yeah, I took Pre-Calc Hon Soph year as well, but there was freshman in my class, so eh.

I also posted that thread in "MY CHANCES" by including what i predict my stats will be during my junior year. Right now, i'm going to be a sophmore who's fourteen, no lies... no lies.... Why are you guys so amazed at my stats.... they are not that good for now (will be good after i retake my SAT 2's this fall.... that's when my stats will be beggining to look good)

I think you're showing that you are really committed to applying to college, I wish that I had been more diligent freshman year about thinking ahead. That's incredible about you already having taken subject tests, my advice would be just to not get an ego about anything and keep taking subject tests (I read somehwere that you can submit like 6 or 7 and they'll actually consider them, who knows thouhg).

hahahah ksea, i did that stuff too. i don't bother mentioning it now because i've realized taht unless your admissions officer is korean and a new yorker, they won't really care much at all (doubt that a korean new yorker/njer would care either =P)

the fact that you took 3 sat 2s and 2 aps (O.O) shows that you take initiative which is good, but also, chill out, damn, your freshman year was supposed to be a fun one. stressing yourself out too early can only lead to destruction. otherwise, ok GPa for high-tier schools and very interestic extra curric (i favor black belts =P... i never bothered to take the black belt test, i just ended with red belt, black tips =/)

and what j07 said about subject tests is not advised. taking an unnecessary amount of subject tests (6 to 7 are not considered, trust me on that) only leads to $$ wasted and time wasted. also you run the risk of doing poorly on 1 to 2 of them, and if they are really poor, could affect your record

^^He's only a freshman. At many schools foreign languages aren't offered to freshman.

**I think your off to a terrific start. I can't imagine having such a great beginning year of high school. The only advice I would give would be to continue to take rigorous courses, but use caution. Your GPA staying at where it is now or above will be important as well. Don't let it drop too low because your classes are too hard. Just don't let small mistakes hurt your GPA, like with PE. But like I said before, your off to a fantastic start. Just don't burn yourself out... you have four years to get through. Make sure that your involved in clubs or ECs that really interest you and that you enjoy doing. Best of luck! I can see only success for your future.

Ugh, I can't believe I just replied to this stupid thread. Can't people refrain from posting lies. I just went to the link tanman sent up. How pathetic.

My sophmore class will look like this:
AP Calculus
AP Chemistry
Honors English 10th grade
Botany/Zoology, then marine biology
Spanish 1
AP World history
