Is it super hard? Btw, I don’t really care about social aspect because I am an introvert and it’s hard for me to make tons of friends. I would rather finish college sooner and get a job. Thanks.
If you have taken lots of APs and passed them all, then certainly you can finish college a semester or a year sooner. However, college is one of the biggest time period of your life to meet new people. I’m also an introvert, and I 100% regret not getting myself out there in high school. Don’t make college just a “go-by” period of your life. You won’t know if your friend(s) in college might become big business people in the future and they’ll make you one of the top positions in their company. Get involved, have fun (not by partying, I guess.), get a job, go hang out, go to the gym, do something because if you’re just here to go to school and get a job at the end, then someday you’re gonna be living and having a very small social bubble. (Just my word of encouragement).
But if you really like to be 100% alone most of the time. Then, just go for it and live your life however you want.
And is college super hard. I would say yes, even though Im an incoming freshman. High school and college are said to be a totally huge gap apart. Many have said the things you learned in H.S aren’t even relevant in college. So, it’s basically starting all over again except you’re taking super hard AP classes at this point with professors that may or may not teach at all. College goes by reallyyy fast too. Imagine taking a course for only 10 weeks and leaving that class and going to the next new class.
The best reason I can think of for finishing in 3 years is that you are studying something that requires years more schooling and this saves you time and money.
It’s a personal choice, and if it saves you a lot of money/borrowing, I can understand it. On the other hand, it says you had an opportunity to learn for another year and you were not curious or motivated enough to do so which is a dimmer conclusion for sure.
How do you graduate college early besides taking AP classes?
Taking overload and taking summer courses can at least shave a semester off.
Well, my concern, as an employer, would be your resume.
If you rush through and don’t have any projects or internships listed on your resume, because you are an “introvert”, I would hesitate in hiring you. Why? In my work situation, you have to communicate often and work in teams. Offices are shared because space is at a premium.
In my husband’s firm, the engineers hold status meetings, on a daily basis. When he interviews junior engineers he does ask about what part they played in a team project.
You can’t hide in a cubicle and avoid meeting with colleagues.
