Firefox or IE7

Does anyone use IE7 here or am I the only one?

I went back to IE6 because IE7 sucks. But I can't install firefox on this computer or I would. On my computer, I use firefox with IE add-on and W3C validator. :D

Why is this still a debate?

Why isn't it still a debate, that is the real question.

Because Firefox >> Internet Explorer.

im trying out Opera right now. I'lll let you guys know what I think later.

IE7 is horrible. Go with firefox no doubt over IE7.

I prefer Opera over Firefox, but I started getting memory leaks about every other time I used Opera, so I've been using Firefox since then.

Firefox by far! Can't say how bad IE7 is, I know it's all been said, but I just had to weigh in...

I'm with the majority of people in this thread, get Firefox. Internet Explorer is too susceptible to bugs.

When I use Firefox, some pages show up with very annoying font sizes. If I try to increase the font size (under View), text will get pushed off the screen, which can screw up some hyperlinks. When I use IE, though I agree that IE sucks, the font size is perfectly fine by default. Is there something wrong in my firefox settings, or do those web pages just have bad HTML?

Thanks

any why are you still using internet explorer?

Phoenix, I haven't had that problem with any web sites while using firefox. It might just be bad HTML on the web pages, or you might want to try messing around with the font size settings some more.

I hate IE7. It's so much slower than Firefox and any other browser.

sometimes when i use IE7, it forgets toload the scroll par and that ****es me off endlessly because i cant finish reading the page

I use IE7 primarily on my laptop. Firefox needs to have MHT support built in, saving entire web pages in one file is a lot better than saving web pages the old fashioned way, with the HTML file and a big old folder full of images and junk.

Furthermore, I like how I can visit a page in IE7, and then view it offline easily, I haven't found anyway to do that in Firefox. And I like how I can pull things straight from the cache folder in IE7, instead of Firefox, where it's not organized nicely and I can't sort my items.

On my desktop, however, I use mostly Firefox, except for a few web sites which render better on IE7. And also, if I visit most of my school's websites with Firefox, my computer will reset after I close the window or tab.

Is this even a question?

Firefox.

Someone who has a legitimate reason to use IE over Firefox! Though I don't use IE, I can definitely see why you'd not prefer firefox for this purpose.

You can easily view things offline in Firefox: File|Work Offline
Similar to IE. Unless things have changed in IE for the better... I wouldn't know, I haven't used it in a while.

Opera does all of that stuff, there's no excuse for using IE7.

safari ftw

Hmm, thanks for the tip. I tried it out and it worked! I guess I never clicked "Work Offline" before (Firefox doesn't ask you like IE does).
