I use the new, highly updated Mozilla Firefox. It's awesome, no spam, pop-ups, couldn't work any better. In addition when your computer freezes and your forced to restart or end task, it saves all the links your previously accessed. Heck, it's currently spell checking every word I type and underlines if its misspelled regardless on the website your at.

Too bad it doesn't catch grammatical errors, like "your"s that should "you're"s.

Anyway, I'm using Internet Explorer 7, and I hate it so much. I want the old IE back. There's a ****ing reason I'm not using Firefox or Netscape or some crap, and what did IE do, it ripped off the lameness that was the aforementioned browsers.

Now there's these annoying tabs, and all these random icons with colors...it all makes me want to cry for my mommy.

Anyone who dislikes Firefox should be forced to use it. If I ever become president or something (though I couldn't stand getting involved in politics) I'm going to sign a Mandatory Firefox Law.

I like IE 6 (and 5). Have yet to try 7 after hearing all the negativity about it.

Firefox is okay, and the pop-up blocker seems to work well, but I have some compliants:
1. Not compatible with everything
2. Seems to freeze on one of my computers a lot
3. They need the option of a better search engine integrated into the toolbar. I don't like Google and prefer Yahoo

Netscape--is that really still around? Last time I used that was the computer lab in middle school before the school got smart and got IE. And I hate Apple's Safari browser. If you get a Mac make sure you find an old version of IE or use Firefox. (I still have IE 5 on my Mac laptop but have to also run Firefox since Facebook doesn't work on IE 5)

I use Firefox and love it..but my problem is it won't play Windows Media Player files... it says "plugin not found". It won't automatically install it, and when I try to manually go find it, it's not available.

You know you can use the drop down menu and select any of a number of search engines? Yahoo is on the list and you can add ones that aren't there.

I'm agreed with #9. That's my only gripe with firefox but otherwise absolutely love it.

Otherwise, unless you have a ginormous monitor or dual monitors or whatever, how does one possibly have all the windows up? They are for the most part minimized to the bar when you aren't looking at it, and tabs just cleans that up by putting into a bar on the browser itself. I multitask by opening different browsers and having those tabs set to different things. For example, my first browser might be all the research I'm doing with tabs for each article. The second browser might be my "fun" browser with all the forums and whatnot I like to read. I don't understand when people say that it helps multitask better because simply, it doesn't. Tabs was created because you can get only so many programs on start bar.

Who hates IE7 especially when compared with the crap that is IE6? I personally, really, really hated IE6. IE6 is a piece of crap that allows all sorts of spyware, viruses, and other bad things, along with no tabbing.

I use IE7 and Firefox. Opera is all pretty good. I would need to be paid to use IE6.

And tabs are awesome. Not only are they more organized, they save system resources. Good stuff.

ie just sucks, 7 is better than 6 but still much slower than firefox and opera and also it just sucks so i wont explain further.

i used firefox for a while and loved it. it actually started getting slow and having problems, and then i had a lightning strike that messed up firefox indefinitely.

at that point i switched to opera, which i personally like slightly better but not enough so that i would encourage others using firefox to switch. i do love how you can just drag a tab into the quick links bar, wow i use that a ton. (both the quick links bar and dragging tabs into it)

anyone who doesnt like tabs, let me tell you a little story about how they make my life so much easier and efficient:

what i do:
1. go to CC forums.
2. go to college search & selection
3. run down the list and middle click any and all topics that sound interesting (middle click opens them in a new backround tab.
4. repeat for college admissions, college chances, college life, HS life, and any other sub forums that interest me.
5. when i get done, i will have like 20-30 tabs each as its own topic of interest.
6. then i just go through each tab, read it, and reply or delete as i choose.

MUCH easier than going down the list of each sub-forum, finding topics of interest, reading and replying, going back, finding other topics, going back to other sub-forums, repeating, etc.

i use Firefox. i just downloaded Netscape last night (i was bored and wanted to give it a try lol) and so far i like it. But yes, i agree the Firefox's new spell check is really nice.
