Browser trends chart

You can also put the bookmark icon on your tool bar. It opens on the side as well.

firefox....

i think anyone who likes IE or netscape would be afraid to say so now.
.........or maybe no one who has ever used firefox has gone back to IE/netscape.
which do you think?

just switched... zonealarm alarms stopped going... it's so much more secure in terms of adware and spyware

What extensions are you using? It seems that most of them don't work with v. 1.0.1. I have stumble, tab preferences, and forecast fox installed. What are your recommendations?

Are certain browsers faster than others? I only recently changed to firefox, and I noticed that the pages loaded a bit faster than IE. Maybe it's just my thinking.

I also think that firefox loads them a bit quicker, I am not quite sure either.

It might not be quicker per se, but I know for a fact that firefox starts rendering the page as soon as it has something to render, rather than wait for IE. And I remember there was a tweak to make it even faster.... anyone have a link?

type about:config in the address bar, set network.http.pipelining to true, set network.http.proxy.pipelining to true, set network.http.maxrequests to 30, and create a new integer value called nglayout.initialpaint.delay = 0

I did all that and nothing's happened :(

expect no firefrackers :p its sposed to increase the no of simultaneous requests your fox can make. makes it superfast for some, subtle difference for many, me includded :-/

oh ok thanks :(

Firefox any day

since we have so many firefox enthusiasts, can some one please tell me how to get Launch music videos to work with firefox?

Firefox > a regular fox > IE

I switched a couple months ago, and I've been loving FireFox ever since. For some reason, I can't get into tabbed browsing, but the interface and customizability is fantastic. Aesthetically better, with everything streamlined and more user friendly than IE. Unlike IE, Firefox seems to trust you to browse the Net in the most efficient way possible, rather than the hand-holding from IE in the form of glaring pop-ups and information screens every two minutes.

IE: "You have indicated you wanted to download a file, what do you want to do with it?" clicks save "Be careful, if could be a dangerous file." click ok "Are you sure? It's a .anyextension file which could contain potential spyware/viruses, are you sure?" clicks ok, downloads file "Are you sure you want to open the file?" ....repeat ad nauseum

Firefox: Download within download manager, one screen to open/warn, done.

I use Firefox, but I've noticed that sites are starting to dodge the Firefox pop-up blocker.

WOW! Firefox is popular. Maybe I'll give it a second try. (I use IE and have nothing to complain about)

Certain sites do not work in Firefox. Launch does not because it requires ActiveX, which can render your cpu quite vulnerable to hackers. If you really really want it go find the Mozilla ActiveX Plug-in.

Personally, I installed an "Open in IE" extension for times when I just MUST view the site in IE, and just right-click that page and it opens in IE. Then I go scrub my cpu clean with my spyware/adware/etc programs. ;)

Though lately I've heard of spy-ware now being specifically targetted to Mozilla, booo.

Try middle-clicking a link. I love it (opens in a new tab in the background). It's great for slow connections, so you can continue reading the page while the next one loads in the background.

Also, add the "New tab" button to your toolbar. Going to File>New Tab or hitting Ctrl+T seem cumbersome to me. I really started using the tabs only after adding the button to the toolbar.

Btw, I use launch in IE as well :( I thought it used flash and I haven't installed flash plugin in firefox....

EDIT: Oh you meant music vidoes. i don't know about that. I was talkin about the rating stars.
