“biased” can imply irrational. do you believe you fully understand why they are “biased” in this particular decision? do you see any bias in your own perspective on it?

As a family we’re all very stubborn, when we decide something that’s the way it is. They decided that I couldn’t go the second I said “Boarding school” and won’t listen to anything I say about it. Well actually my mother came arund sort of but my father still hasn’t/. Of course I’m biased, I see that. I want to go to BS and ignore the bad sides of it. They think I’m being naive and delusional and I think that they’re thinking Tom Browms School Days and not acknowledging that things have changed.

errrrr, kids are annoying.

My brother noted that your own kids are less annoying than other people’s kids in general; this seems like a survival of the species trait.

You might talk to you guidance counselor or similar person (minister, scout leader, etc.), and see if they can help advocate for you.

That’s not going to happen, I don’t know anyone in the community… My parents aren’t that bad they’re just being stubborn about BS. My mother is supporting me a bit more now and if she says yes (which when it comes down to it I’m pretty sure she will) then eventually my father will too.

A reason to choose one boarding school=you don’t have to choose between other ones.

BlueRaven1 - Will this help? I found it on St. Paul’s info page for prospective parents.

Thanks but I already showed them that. Trust me I made a document on all the advantages of BS. :)

OMG!! Me to BLUE!!! I wrote them this huge letter about why I wanted to go, what was wrong with this school, how this would be better for me etc. I printed out all the different courses and clubs and sports, the # of teachers, it was insane. And then guess what? I lost the letter at camp. :p

um,wow! That sucks…

I divided and conquered. Wrote the doc, subjected my mother to my doc and videos and got her reluctant permission to apply.
