First Choices!

I think we should all say our first choices. Also, I think we should say the chance we have to get ( using high, medium, low, very low, none) Use this format:

First Choice:School (low)
Second Choice: school ( very high)
Third Choice: school ( medium)

These are mine:

First Choice: Deerfield ( medium)
Second Choice: Andover ( very low)
Third Choice: Hotchkiss ( low)

Great idea, soccer345!

1st Choice:Choate Rosemary Hall(medium)
2nd Choice:Phillips Exeter Academy(very low)
3rd Choice: Deerfield Academy(very low)
4th Choice:The Webb School(high)

I love Choate!

First and only choice: Andover (low-15%)

Groton: lowish
Deerfield:medium
Hotchkiss: relatively high in comparison to the others
SPS: very low

and thats all i applied too

My DD is applying to independent day middle schools through ABC:

First Choice: Julia Morgan School for Girls (high)
Second Choice: The Athenian School (medium)
Third Choice: Bentley School (medium)

1st: Phillips Exeter (non-existant)
2nd: Choate (very low)
3rd: SPS (same as Exeter)
4th: Middlesex (Low)
5th: Andover (they won’t even read my application)

I am going to be so angry on the 10th…

exeter. first & only.

chance? 20% or lower.

First Choice: Lawrenceville (very very low)
Second Choice: Peddie (low-medium)

first choice: deerfield (very very low)
second choice: exeter (even lower)
third choice: andover (lowest)

is andover harder to get into than exeter?

ssrs !

They are around the same, I think. But andover may have like a 1% lower acceptance rate or something.

ohh, i always thought andover was easier.

Just checked boarding school review, it says that they both have the same acceptance rate of 17% but sometimes BSR doesn’t have updated stats so…

You’re applying to Webb eddytie? In what state? TN?

First Choice: Andover ( medium)
Second Choice: Loomis ( mid-high)
Third Choice: NMH (high)
Fourth Choice: The Webb School (High)

@2010hopeful. I think you are being too harsh on yourself. Your profile is probably as good or better than everyone else here.

Sandakm, The Webb School I’m applying to is in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. I thought it was a well structured school, so I applied.

I doubt that.

And I am not being harsh.

Needing full financial aid with a 83% SSAT and crappy ecs that I have had for a year, is not a good profile.

Getting into any of these schools with a sub 20% Acceptance rate is low for everyone

I looked at your chance thread and you had enough clubs…all of them you’ve only been doing for one year? Any awards? And don’t worry…they don’t just choose the clones with 3814037327804 ec’s and leadership. They’re looking for diversity. If you emphasized your uniqueness in your essays and interview, then you are golden.

Your grades should negate your SSAT scores.

Don’t worry about FA due to need-blind policies.

Exeter is my first and only. Chances? Eh… I feel relatively confident, though my chances are probably 20% or lower. I guess I’m just an optimistic type of person.
