First College Confidential Post

My stats are alright, but I'm sure Wake will see a lot of stats that look like mine:
700 Math 700 Verbal
88 (UW) 98 (W) with a strong upward trend especially through our first semester at a Private/Catholic prestigious MA high school, all AP & honors courses
EC's: Eagle Scout, Balanced Two Jobs, two sport athlete, Participated in lots of Campus Ministry Retreats and Leadership activities.

I missed two days of school to visit and have an interview on campus. My essays were about my Boy Scouting career (Eagle Scout) and about my strong religious beliefs (Catholic) and involvement, both of which I discussed during the interview.

I have been accepted to Villanova and Providence, at both I wrote essentially the same essays, but it is hard to judge whether or not my essays will make the difference at Wake because they are of course not a Catholic school like the other two. Does anyone (specifically people who have gotten in/ are attending wake that wrote about similiar topics or have similiar EC's) have any idea if my essays/interview/ec's will help me get in? Basically I'm asking what are my chances?

My bro's freshman roommate had like a 1360 or 1380 (M+V), and he is from a pretty prestigious high school in Ohio and he is Catholic. I'm not sure about all of his ECs, but they were prob pretty similar to yours. I think you have a really good shot. The Eagle Scout thing should help.

Well, Wake may not be a Catholic school, but Wake has a very large Catholic community (I'm Catholic myself) and it makes up the largest religious denomination. I couldn't imagine them holding that against you...You look like a strong candidate to me though.
