First Job

You can become a tutor at your school next year. It pays minimum wage but its a really easy job.

A lot of kids I know either work in ice cream stores, old people homes, and grocery stores. Your local park department might have summer jobs like lifeguard or day camp counselor or whatever. Over the summer quite a few people work concessions at the pool, but I hear thats a sucky job.

If you like kids, I suggest counselor. It could be too late this year, but next year. Its fun and pays decently (I’m gonna be making about $200 a week after deductions for room/board). You definitely need the right personality for it though.

:/ My first job was at Little Caesar’s. HORRIBLE experience. I am by no means a quitter, but I left after 3 days. Fast food isn’t for me. I’d rather be a cashier at a grocery store or something…I’ll start applying to places next year, after I finish my babysitting gig this summer.

I got my first job a little over a year ago when I was a junior at a local grocery store. I started out as a bagger, promoted to cashier, and now im a supervisor. It’s absolutely ridiculous that im only 17 and im supervising people double my age. Uhh, I hate grocery stores so I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Im applying to restaurants over the summer

I just got my first job a few weeks ago. I looked on craigslist and just emailed people until someone replied. Now, I’m working for a family doing household chores while their four year old runs around, it’s not bad; however, I’m looking to apply for another job with more hours. I only work about 6 hours a week at $8 an hour. I only needed a job to pay for gas.
