Do we send them to Harvard for EA decisions? (Our school has 4 marking periods)

Yes, we do.

If it's quarter grades--IE a semester is made up of two quarters and your quarter grades don't go on your permanent record (they're merely part of the averaging of semester grades)--then no.

^incorrect.
We DO send in quarter grades. I should know because my school uses the quarter system as well.

Weird. My school definitely did not send in quarter grades. Since quarter grades were only pertinent in calculating semester grades, the view of quarter grades was that they should not go on the permanent record...so no sending to Harvard, either. Of course, that was two years ago. Perhaps things have changed. Sigh, I feel old.

You really don't HAVE to. At some schools, it's common practice to send out quarter grades. At others, it's done on the student's request. And sometimes, the university itself will call and ask for quarter grades. There's no fixed policy.
