soooo...does anyone know how dartmouth looks at first marking period grades for ED?
i'm pretttyy sure i'm going to get a B/B+ in AP chem. how much will this hurt my chances? i have A's in all my other classes (all APs), a cumulative 3.9 uw GPA, and 2380 SAT (any help?)

Looking at the Dartmouth website, it doesn't look like they require your first marking period grades. It says you only need to send in a mid-year report if you are deferred or are an RD candidate.

^It also probably depends on your prospective major. For example, I'm pre-med, and so I essentially need A's or A+'s in AP Calc, AP Bio, and AP Chem, but I doubt an A- in AP English or AP Government would hurt as much.

I didn't send in grades for ED. Also, I doubt Dartmouth holds much stock in your major, given we're a liberal arts college.

i just called the admissions office, and they said that if first marking period grades are available, they would like to see them. will my chem grade affect my chances of admission? should i send them?

^I sent in my grades; I wanted to show I haven't got senioritis, etc.

I didn't send my grades, otherwise they would have known I had senioritis.

^lol.......
