I am shocked that Upenn does not require one to send in first quarter grades for early decision candidates. I know some people applying early decision to upenn whose grades have dropped in the first quarter of senior year because they could not handle their senior load. Upenn wil never know this, I find this unbelievable.

GMABCD, different schools have different quarter periods…There is nothing unbelievable.

But most schools do require mid-year report in Feb time frame, right?

Don’t hate on people with senioritis. I definitely can’t (or am not wiling to) handle my senior load and Penn won’t find out! Sadly my RD schools will find out if I get rejected/deferred ED.

On our transcripts, when they are sent out, the current grade in each class is listed, so I guess some schools do inform the University of how the student is doing in senior year classes.
