im looking to apply transfer next year and i was wondering if the order you place the preference of college (w/i same university) when applying will affect you chances..
ok.. even reading that myself is a bit confusing.
what i mean is. for example i apply to Cornell Hotel and Arts & Sciences. if i put Hotel as my second choice and i get rejected by Arts & Sciences, will i have the same chance of getting into Hotel as if put it as my first choice?

thanks a lot for you input!!

you cant do that. only incoming freshman can apply to two schools (I asked an adom!). if you apply to arts and sciences but get rejected, and your academic interests fit into another school (like Hotel), your application will be forwarded to the Hotel school. You cannot request this, and it will only happen if your interests fit that of both schools. This seems kinda difficult for Hotel and Arts ans Sciences, I think that it works more with CAS and CALS (like if you were majoring in biology), or with CAS and HE (if you were majoring in psychology or something like that). Think about which school you really want to be in, what you really want to study, and if there is a way for you to express your interests in both the arts ans sciences and hotel subjects. good luck!

thanks for your input!
btw, sry if this sounds stupid but what are "CAS and CALS"?

edit: haha nvm i got it ><
