<p>Hi, this may sound like a stupid question, but what are first term grades? Are they first semester grades (which in my school come out around January) or first quarter grades (which comes out around November)?</p>

<p>I expect that the first quarter grades in your school are not official transcript grades - that they serve to provide feedback to students regarding how they’re doing so far in the first semester. That’s typically the use of these grades, and if so what matters are the official first semester grades. Ask your registrar to make sure.</p>
