First time post/ chance me/ I need advice not sure who else to talk to about this

@MYOS1634 Thanks for the clarification. The more I’m getting into the application process the more I wish I just stuck with sports because it seems to be an easier path for schools( played football and got interest from some colleges (URedlands for example). However, I think applying for purely academics will be better in the long run, so I will have more time to focus on grades and extracurriculars. Anways, I appreciate the breakdown and will apply to schools with a “hope for the best, but prepare for the worst” mentality.

@Frotts public universities need to rely on more objective admissions criteria than subjective because of (1) limited resources and (2) more governmental scrutiny. I know it can feel personally unfair and disadvantageous, but it gives the whole process more integrity. Stay positive, know your strengths, and pull together your best application. Good luck!
