I am really interested in Duke. I have been contemplating applying ED. There have been a few threads here that have spooked me about freshmen entering sophomore year with few friends. Yikes!
1. My impression is that the Frosh campus is a great way to meet people, cohesion created, friends on hall etc etc true?
If not why not?
Certain dynamics?
Does school facilitate?
2. What is the story on frats? Who joins? Who doesn't? Types of frts
Personality of each? Thanks!

Can someone help me out? Please

The thing about college is that you have to actively try to meet new people and make new friends. If you are a social person who is involved, this shouldn’t really be a problem. There is no reason to suggest that if the people posting in this forum would have gone to a different school, they would not have the same problems. Keep in mind as well that there are only a few people having the sort of problems.

At duke, you can rush second semester freshman year. You really have to check it out on your own and try to not get second hand impressions from others. Form your own opinions about them.
