D was accepted, but she still has several other schools to hear from before deciding. I wonder when UCSC will make Regents and Scholars determinations. We visited campus last Spring break. So beautiful!

I’m sure they’ll decide about the Scholars Program soon enough bc the Chancellor’s Reception in April 9th. I’m going to be there! I’m currently in the FYHP in the class of 2019, so if you have any questions I’m happy to answer them!
@clarinetkaren Is the Chancellor’s Reception local or in various locations? I know UCSB is holding receptions in different parts of CA.

There were two parts last year: mingling and a presentation. First you get to mingle with current and former FYHP students and see what they’re up to. They also have some admissions officers and other officials at this time. Then there is a presentation where they talk about why UCSC is so great in terms of research and such and then provide more details of the program. Also, the chancellor is there.
So is that basically just for all the students accepted into the honors program?
