First year Honors schedule

I’m a University Scholars student who will be attending Northeastern this fall; my intended major (at least for now) is Computer Science/Math, so my first semester courses are pretty much decided for me. However, I am looking for a recommendation on how many of those courses I should take at the honors level that first semester - I’m thinking at the very least I’ll take my calc class and the CS Fundamentals Course as honors, but I’m wondering if it wouldn’t be a bad idea to take more. What are current honors students’ thoughts?..too few honors classes, too many honors classes?
Thanks for everyone’s advice!

Your advisor will put you into any Honors section available. I took 2 plus enhancing honors, which is 3/6 I need before I graduate. Don’t stress about it, you have plenty of time; most people I know took 2-3 Honors first semester, but some took 1 or none (excluding enhancing Honors). Just be mindful when you register for spring and sophomore fall, because there are less and less Honors sections offered, if any, as your classes become higher level. (I.e; don’t wait until your last year)

Most honors classes are not harder than their non-honors counterparts, but have smaller sections of maybe a few extra questions in the lab reports, if it’s a lab class. The exception of the intro CS class, which is designed to be a more challenging course. What are your other classes first semester that you might take as honors? Generally you’ll probably be fine taking at many as you can as honors.
