I am a going to be a high school senior this fall and was looking to apply ED to U Penn's Jerome Fisher program as well as Wharton if i am not accepted. With the following credentials what do you think my chances are for Fisher and/or Wharton:

Class Rank: 2/300
GPA (weighted): 4.5
AP Classes taken (test score if completed):
AP US History (4)
AP Music Theory (3)
AP Government
AP Lang. & Comp.
AP Physics B
Will take:
AP Physics C
AP Calc. BC
AP Lit.

SATs
Math 690
(i should receive my second test's scores in 5 days and i expect close to 800 in math since thats what i usually get on practice tests)
CR 680
Writing 530 (should be mid 600's as well)

NOTE: i'm expecting better scores because of practice tests and because the first time i took SATs i got in a car accident the morning of the test... haha but colleges aren't going to like that story.

SAT subject tests
Physics 770
Math II 750
US History 700

EC's
Officer of Model UN
NHS
Varsity Golf
JV Tennis

EC's are quite sparse, nothing with any leadership experience which is what wharton is big on. also, your SATs are well below the range of what is competitive for wharton let alone M+T. finally, you might want to try for 800 for math level 2, i dont know anyone who got in with anything other than an 800 for that.

well I'm working on the SAT scores but i wasn't sure whether i should retake the Math II test and if you really think it would help then i definitely will. Thanks for the honesty i still have the summer to work on this thing. any other suggestions would be great.
* also, i started a investing club with my friends using a stock simulator. We are very competitive and bet real money amongst ourselves but is this the kind of thing that i should be mentioning in my application? (would they care)

Oh i forgot that i am very involved in my high school choir that has performed across the state of Ohio and had a solo performance at Carnegie hall. Also i am a regular volunteer at a local homeless shelter. I guess that still isn't much leadership though

They don't really care about stock investing. That's a common misconception about Wharton.

They (the M&T admissions board) do care about leadership. Either get some, or demonstrate some.

To be accepted to the M&T program, you have to show that you would do well in SEAS and Wharton. I think you're well qualified for Wharton, but if you want to make it in Engineering, you need to get that math score up. (all 3 scores, really. you don't need 800's, but you really should be breaking the 700 mark)
