Do you guys know when we’ll here back?
I think that we should hear back in April, even though I’ve heard that people have received letters as early as March in the past.
Hi guys I looked through the fall 2016 admissions discussion page and they said that people who got accepted their email accounts with FIT username worked?
@ALOHAAA I just went through that thread, and yeah I tried it out and it worked for me! Does anyone know if that means good news?
@aurorasbluedress I am not too sure but one of the people who got admitted had their email set up before getting their acceptance letter.
Ooooo, Imma try this. How would the email be structured? Is it first name + last name + @fitnyc.edu ?
@treesloth firstname_lastname and the fit format (its shown when u click the mail icon in the MYFIT profile) and before you do that you need to go to the myfit login page and click on lost password. set up lost password or use the current password u have and set up the security questions and then used that newly change password to login to the email.
if that makes any sense
@treesloth did it work for you?
@ALOHAAA Thank you!
@aurorasbluedress It did work! After seeing the emails about finishing the application on that email, however, I am a little skeptical about it being any indicator of a decision. :-S
@treesloth I tend to agree with you. I thought that perhaps the FAFSA email might be a good sign, but it was sent to me before the portal says that they received my High school transcript (I’m applying as a transfer). So yeah, it seems like it’s just what happens when you apply. But that’s a lot of emails they have to make just to deny more than half the people.
@treesloth @aurorasbluedress yeah not too sure either it just might be every applicant gets an email!
What are you guys’ majors?
I’ve applied for FD AAS Fall 2017. My FIT email works!! Idk if thats a good sig or what. Anyways, other threads I’ve read have made a Groupme for everyone applying. Would anyone be interested in doing this? I think it will help a lot to talk to other people going through the same thing as you.
I applied to the FBM one year AAS program as a transfer student. I wonder how many other people have applied to this program,
I applied to the FBM AAS major too! But for the two-year program since I’m coming straight from high school. I’m really worried since it is one of the most competitive major on campus.
I applied for International Marketing and Trade. I was told that it was less competitive so it might be a better chance of getting in. I’m transferring with a bachelors degree so I’m really hoping I get in; I don’t have a plan B.
okay so I know that FIT says they are looking for student with a 3.0 but what gpa do they actually prefer. Like close to 4.0 I suppose?
@ALOHAAA @aurorasbluedress
Cool cool! I am transferring with one year of college to the (hopefully) one-year FD AAS program.
@Pankobreading
YASSSSS One-year AAS’s unite!
@Gillian46
Sounds like fun if others will join in.
Yeah I heard that FBM is super competitive. I am a bit nervous coming in as a transfer though. I haven’t seen too many transfers post on any CC threads sad face
