I've noticed there are a lot of posts regarding the degree of difficulty of acceptance for fashion students.
Is it any different for students applying for communication design? Is the portfolio review a heavily weighted factor for people applying for this major?
I have around a 3.6 GPA, get mostly A's and have a good class rank, etc. Do they still keep this is mind in the admissions process at FIT? The lack of an SAT score worries me. Hopefully my good academic work isn't all for nothing!

I’ve read through a ton of forums and what I hear is that grades are DEFINITELY important at FIT. They take a minimum GPA of 3.0 and unless your portfolio is just unbelievably stellar, you have to have great grades which you clearly do. So best of luck, I’m sure you’ll get through!
