Hello everyone. I'm sort of in a dilemma. I've been accepted to both FIT in New York and FIDM in Los Angeles. I'm sort of stuck though. I loved California when I visited, but the school is extremely expensive. Also the Fashion Institute of Technology has been my dream college since seventh grade. I need your opinions, please. Thank you!

What is your major at FIT??

@sophisticatedlc you should go to the school that you believe will benefit you the most. If you can receive the same amount of benefits at both schools then I would personally go with FIT because It’s cheaper. There’s no point in putting yourself in so much student debt if you can avoid it.

My major at FIT is merchandising management. And that’s what I was thinking…benefits and cheaper school. Now how do I convince my mom for me to live on campus?

I would definitely choose FIT

FIT - More respected in the industry.

I agree with the other people who answered your question. You really have to go with your gut. With price aside, there’s lots of perks with attending FIDM and FIT. Maybe looking at the graduates and what they’ve accomplished will help you out. I do know that FIDM grads are everywhere and seem pretty accomplished and that says a lot too.

Wondering what’s the difference in tuition?
