FIT or Parsons for Communication Design/Graphic Design?

Hi! I've always visited this site but for some reason, I never asked my own question. I am an entering Junior in High School and while most of my peers are scared and unaware of what they want to do, I have been sure since 8th grade.

My dream would be to work for a magazine (preferably a fashion magazine) or an advertising company. I know that both of these jobs, especially the magazine, will be hard to get but I'm willing to try.

I have been studying schools since my freshman year and I think I've narrowed it down to my top two. For some reason, I feel like one of these schools is the right one for me.

I know that Parsons may be more reputable with their design program but the cost is scary. My family is middle class and I really do not want to spend the rest of forever paying for tuition. But, the student work that I've seen seems more fresh and modern compared to FIT.

FIT, I've heard, has some of the same professors as Parsons. So would you basically be getting the same education without the price? FIT is a reputable school for fashion design, but I'm not sure about their graphic design program. Would it hurt me if I went there?

Obviously I have to apply so I can't really make a school my "first" and "second" choice because I may be denied from both but just for reference, do you think FIT is a good school for it? With money aside, which would you attend?
