I didn't find a previous thread on the subject, If there is one I apologize.
So how would an international fit in, socially speaking (assuming a good english, positive attitude and a very open mind)?

it depends on the kind of a person you are. If you are going to a private school or even a big state school most of the other students are going to be new to each other to. Just involve yourself as much as possible instead of sitting in ur dorm and studying

Hmmm,
it's scary huh? I've lived in the same place my whole life... the thought of ending up thousands of miles away from home, not knowing anybody is fooking scary!!!
i mean, i'm sure i'll adjust and all... but damn, apprehensions do remain...
i feel you on this one...

i'm just stressed about the first month, the making an effort to get to know people part... can get lonely.
im sure there'll be no issues 'fitting in' once we get to know people...
as in, if i take my life here and compare it to any typical potrayal of american teen life in the movies/tv... there's really not much of a difference...

hey anokhi.....im from delhi too!!!!!

u goin this yr or nxt yr???
where all r u applyin??

^^^ Hey, well i've already applied and settled on Boston U.

Boot since I got into LSR my mum's pushing for me to stay....
anyhow, in all probability i'm heading out to boston this august...

ok................
