Have you attended any events at the other schools?

Are there cultural, religious or other extra curricular activities you're interested in that have participants from the other schools?

I was involved in a religious organization that had many events that were shared with the other schools. It was a few years ago.....maybe more than a few years ago.....but it was how I met students from the other schools.

I also found that there were a few more 5 college students in courses that were above intro. level....since almost all of the other schools had intro level courses...but the higher level courses were more specialized, and each campus often had a different "expert" on the faculty. (The one contradiction for the intro courses was Hampshire...I remember a few Hamshire students in my intro chem and intro psych courses at MHC.)

i'm a HS senior who plans to study musical theatre in college. is anyone here a current mt. holyoke student (or recent grad) who could give me some info about the theatre opportunities and their own experiences doing theatre in the five college consortium??

Suzan-Lori Parks is an award-winning American playwright and screenwriter. She was a recipient of the MacArthur Foundation "Genius" Grant in 2001, and received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2002. Parks would credit Mount Holyoke later in life for her success. She said in a newspaper interview that she was inspired by Wendy Wasserstein, a 1971 Mount Holyoke graduate who won the Pulitzer in 1989 for her play The Heidi Chronicles. "Mount Holyoke women rule, baby," Parks was quoted as saying. There's something in the water."
