Five year combined MA/BA

I know Deis offers a few programs undergrad with a five year master’s program, mostly in the social sciences. how difficult is this to do? do you have to know the faculty very well and do exceptionally well as a major to be considered? do you have to basically have all AP credits to get out of distribution requirements, and is it impossible to take non-major courses, i.e. another language? do you get financial aid for the fifth year?

this is just another thing i’m considering, and i know it’d be a great opportunity…but i’d hate not to be able to study abroad or learn another language, especially if it’s anthropology.

(edit OOPS I mean BA/MA…meh)

I am not planning as of right now to do it, but I know people who double majored and then did the five year plan for one of them. I'm also triple majoring and still having time to pick up a 3rd foreign language. It's really easy to do lots of stuff at Brandeis.

For most programs you have to have a 3.5 GPA within your major (I think) to do the program.
