I recently discovered Vanderbilt's five-year bachelor/masters option for music education students. However, I know nothing about the School of Music (or Vanderbilt itself, for that matter!), and have a few questions. Are admissions to this program very competitive? What other schools is it comparable to? I have heard very little about music schools outside the northeast, and am looking for a point of comparison from this area. Also, is it possible to double major or minor in a liberal arts area such as English while participating in this program? Finally, is there an option to study abroad through the music school? If anyone out there has knowledge of this program, I would greatly appreciate your help! Thank you! :-D

Others are interested too! Can anyone offer opinions or info on this program?
