PS: This might be a long thread.

I was in the UAE of the summer and just returned to Egypt a few hours ago. I'm bored, so here's a detailed account of what happened:

I went to Abu Dhabi International Airport and, after doing all that usual stuff people do in airports, went to the gate and waited for filght # 917 EgyptAir. I waited and waited for 2 hours..then went to the info desk and asked why the plane hadn't arrived. The guy said that there was a delay and the plane would arrive shortly.

fast forward 1 hour later..EgyptAir flight # 917 finally arrives. We go and wait for them to fill up the plane (with our bags and some gas) that took 30 minutes. Wr all got on, and waited for half an hour because some guy named Mr. Marion was late for the flight. (No other airline in the world would wait for someone who was late for a flight, right?)

fast forward 4 hours...we approach Alexandria International Airport, and land in half an hour. There was a big delay (about 20 minutes) at passport control becasue of the incompetence of the staff. Then another 15 minute wait for the bags to come on the belt thing. I had only one so I was the first one out.
Since Alexandria Airport has yet to discover X rays.. the staff opened my bag and spilled its content in search of bombs and explosives..etc. Then they vanished and left me to put everything back in the bag myself. I got out and was greeted by my brother who then took the bag outside and we stopped a taxi and went home.

Here's a tip: Never come to Alexandria through its airport..go to Cairo first. And don't fly with EgyptAir.

Okay, I'm done. Hope you enjoyed the story.

I didn't read that... it was too long.

Can you sum it up for me in like 3 sentences?

basically, my flight back was full of delays and ****ing-offy kind of people. but read it..it is nice.

oh and i meant to say: this might be a lomg POST not a long thread oops.

okkay I read it... Hmm... I've never flown internationally yet... only in US and they aren't that bad... NO DELAYS!

well, i plan to use a different airline next time. maybe QatarAirways (of the country Qatar) (according to the CEO of it, it's one of only three first class airlines in the world,) plus, I'll also get to transit in Qatar and see some new stuff.

okay... I dind't understand that at all... but who are you telling not to use EgyptAir. I don't think there is anyone else from Egypt on CC.

Maybe if someone is going on vacation.

yeah, that is what i meant, becasue most people use airlines from the country they will visit. so, in case anyone ever will, just don't use egypt air.

Seems like a pretty normal set of flights. They don't generally repack your bag after searching...that's your responsibility. Those delays were pretty much average on most flights. Flying is pretty ugly anymore.

Try Emerates Air. Thye have very nice planes. Service is pretty good in B class too.

That's the one i plan to use next time. I hope it's better than egypt air

The only airline that I've flown out of the U.S. was NWA. I use Northwest when I go to Canada a few times a year, but the planes are really small. I think it only holds 50 or so people. When I flew to Japan I flew on a 747. It was nice.

most of the planes I've been on were Boeing 747s. But I think the best are the Airbus A320. (That was the one I was on for the flight back home :) )
