Flight for Inprocessing

Anyone flying out of Houston Intercontinental?

No Dallas-Fort Worth

Well, I will be returning to IAH on my way back for leave. ;) From last year I can tell you that the gate will be packed with appointees since Houston and the rest of southeast TX provide 1 of 25 cadets here.

Anyone flying out of San Diego......

Negative. Medford, Portland, San Francisco. :)

just an idea if your mom loves pics like mine:

she sent with me a disposable camera in which i took pics at my b%b house and on the plane. in the airport to C-springs, i was getting a pic with me and a couple other basics i met, and the person taking the pic called for anyone going to usafa. about 30 ppl stodd up and got in my pic. its funny to look at now, espeically since my roommate from this whole year is in it. my mom also sent a pre-addressed envelope so my b&b dad just had to drop it in the mail

I also kept a disposable camera in BCT and took some pictures then for later.

Son is flying Green Bay to Chicago to COS on United. Anyone on that route?

Chicago will have lots. thats wher i took the pic

anyone flying out of ontario airport in california? Does anyone have a layover in denver around 4:30 pm?

Haha, just look for lots of people standing around with a pair of combat boots at O'Hare!

How did you find out about your flight tickets/shedules? The appointee kit wasn't very clear about that. Are we supposed to contact the transportation office at USAFA?

Once you accept your appointment, you will be sent a ticket in the mail for inprocessing day. Once you get that, you'll know your flight schedule. :)

Thanks Redhead! I accepted my appointment a while ago (early January) but just got my medical qualification about two weeks ago (PPQ!), and the kit a few days after that. So I don't have to request anything? How long did it take you to receive the ticket? Thank you for your very very quick answer! :)

Congratulations on being PPQ!! And no, you don't have to call and request anything. Just another waiting game. :) I accepted in January, too, and got my ticket maybe a month ago?? If you don't get your ticket within a week or two, I would call your counselor and just check up on it. Sometimes they do make mistakes, like assigning me the same seat on one of my flights as another appointee who I just so happened to randomly meet. Kind of ironic. And funny.

The appointee booklet says that they will mail all of them by early June but if you haven't gotten it by 20 June, then you should call. So LOTS of waiting!

welcome to the military: hurry up and wait

lol. I guess its a good thing you randomly met that appointee redhead. The odds of that happening don't seem to be that great.

Just got my itinerary yesterday :). I leave St. Louis on the 27th, fly to Denver, stay there until about 3pm, then to CO Springs. A lot of appointees will probably be on that last flight!

anyone from denver or the springs and not having to fly anywhere?
