Florida Atlantic or Florida International

I have to make a decision to one of these university by may 1st. I am currently still waiting on a response from UCF which is my preferred school but I will be paying the deposit for one of these colleges to make sure I have a spot to be safe.

Which do you guys recommend out of these 2 schools, I will be going to school to get a degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science in a course of 6 years, but I am still deciding on which major to finish first since the pre-reqs are practically the same. At this moment I am leaning a bit more towards FAU due to there CO-OP program being better than FIU’s also it bothers me that FIU is a commuter school. I will also be part of greek life and I do like to party. Which school do you guys recommend, also Pro’s and Con’s of each school.

Also I live in tampa so the 2 schools will be around 4 hours away from home.

I’ve seen both, and would choose FAU. That location and that campus are tough to beat. FIU has a decent campus, but not as nice as FAU’s, & the location isn’t great.

Do you know anything about the engineering programs or just student life in general ? which is better ?

Anyone else ?

While I can’t speak to the quality of the programs you are interested - which is huge so feel free to discount what I say - but I would recommend FAU every single day over FIU. The area, campus, and school social life are far better. President Kelly is doing an awesome job!!
BTW: i graduated from FAU and my wife graduated from FIU.

What would you say about greek life ? and just the party scene. aswell as the people ? I’ve been hearing lately that FIU is a commuter school ? is that true ?

For a Computer Science degree FIU. Slam dunk
