<p>I have a hard time choosing the right university for me.</p>
<p>I am interested in Computer Science and would like to know how the Computer Science programm at FAU is compared to FIU.</p>
<p>People constantly telling me that FIU has a better reputation in terms of Computer Science and Engineering and that companies prefer students from FIU than FAU is that true?</p>

<p>Who told you that? FIU students? They’re basically the same. </p>
<p>Neither school is on the level of MIT or Carnegie Mellon or Cal Poly, where pedigree alone can (hopefully) get you a job. At FAU and FIU, what you put into it is what you get out of it. Since nothing is guaranteed, I’d go wherever you feel is a best “fit” for you.</p>
<p>P.S. For what it’s worth, FAU just built a brand new Computer Science and Engineering building.</p>

<p>So they really are just biased to FIU good to know.</p>
