Florida Colleges Please Help!!

Hi. I am a senior in High school and I live in Connecticut, I have applied to two schools including Central Connecticut State University and St. Joseph and I was accepted to both. Although this past summer I visited my family down in Florida and I absolutely love the weather!! I really want to go to the University of Central Florida in Orlando. But since Im from CT I dont know much about the school or its standards. I have a 3.8 GPA and got 1400 on the new SAT, the only thing is I want to be accepted for this fall 2006 to UCF, I submitted my application and essays and SAT score last week about April 17 but I know the deadline is May 1st.
Do you think I could be accepted i know its close to the deadline, but I really want to go there. Do you think my grades and scores are good enough to get into UCF. I really have no idea what their standards are since I live so far away. I am getting worried and I really hope I can get in.
Please if anyone has info...Thankyou

you are way overqualified fo UCF, and could probably gain admission with scholarship, you really have nothign to worry abotu.

I live in South Florida. With the scores you have, I don't understand why you would want to subject yourself to a school as UCF... No offence to UCF students, but it is not the most academically credited school in Florida. The New College of Florida, however, should be the school to look at. If you have your heart set on UCF though, you are well overqualified for acceptance. The only problem is that it is a little late in the application process to have applied now and it is possible that they have filled their 2006 - 2007 quota. Hopefully not. I wish you the best of luck.

1400/2400 or 1400/1600???

ah, Drew has a point. regardless, you would still probably be accepted.

Thankyou for the input, i really had no clue as to what their acceptance level is. I took the new SAT so it must be 1400/2400

you will probably still be fine
