We purchased the pre paid plan back in the year 2000 and I was wondering if UF or any of the other Florida schools require an applicant to provide this information when applying for admission… We have since moved out of the state and I was wondering if this is something that they ask and perhaps could be a negative for admissions .
Check the coalition app for yourself…
But I’ll answer your question concisely. There is a section in the UF Supplement where you can claim residency for in-state tuition. There (if you don’t live in Florida), you can claim residency if you are a beneficiary of the pre-paid plan.
Probably not taken into consideration for admission.
Thank you both for your quick reply
It’s not considered in admissions. UF uses “need-blind” admissions, but they also don’t guarantee that they will meet 100% of need.
