Hi, I was recently admitted into FSU. The housing contract just became available and I filled it out and got a decent priority number in the low one thousand range. I was wondering if anyone could give a ranking of best dorms to worst?

I got a priority number right below 140 and here is my list of dorms:

Landis

Gilchrist

Broward

Wildwood

Degraff

Reynolds

If you are in the Honors College I would for sure put Landis down as your number one option and Gilchrist as your number two, but if you aren’t it really depends on your preference.

Broward is often the dorm that fills up the quickest, but it does require a meal plan. It has a very good location and is pretty close to the dining hall. Wildwood seems to be the most popular among my friends at school, though. Wildwood does not require a meal plan and is about a 10 minute walk from a dining hall. It is very new and on the side of campus closest to the stadium and fitness center.

I would pay attention to the number of spots in each dorm and what percentage of those rooms are suite style, community, etc.

Also keep in mind that if you are planning on rooming with someone you know, when you mutually request each other as roommates, FSU will use whoever’s priority number is worse. I’m doing a random so I’m not concerned, but it’s good info to share.

By the way, I like your username. I also play lacrosse :D

There’s a lot of good information on a number of the dorms in [this thread](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/florida-state-university/1450151-best-fsu-dorms.html)
