Flvs: Hope.

So I took HOPE( my county's version of a PE class, mandatory) online on FLVS(Florida Virtual School), or in better words, AM still taking. I've been taking the class for like 6 months and I'm only 15% done with the course. I'm so unmotivated to finish because the assignments are so stupid. One module asks me "Write a play on mental health issues". Thats it, no further instructions. Like what? So, has anyone on CC taken HOPE on FLVS and can tell me how they got through it. I'm not asking for answers and stuff , just advice.

That’s pretty funny though. I don’t really understand online physical education classes to be honest, it almost seems like a waste of time. I’m not really familiar with FLVS, but all I have to say is to get the work done or reward yourself when you’re finished. That’s what I do when I have to get through a really boring or troubling assignment.

Online gym class? Sounds stupid.

But so does gym class and online classes as far as i’m concerned.

Kind of reminds me of middle school gym, when we had tests on proper methods of playing things like badminton and “handball”.

/hasn’t taken gym since 8th grade.

I’m sorry, but you don’t have any HOPE left.

You have to take the class to graduate, and if I took it in school, I would have to drop another class for this pointless class so I took it online.
And thanks, I guess.

Honestly you should’ve just taken the class in school. I took the class during freshman year. All you had to do was a mile run to see if you met the state’s standards. Easiest class ever and it was loads of fun because of the people in it (not the teachers, te wouldn’t even know if a fight hard started right before their eyes).

I am in hope right now lol. I’m done up to module 3 and half way done with 4.
Its incredibly easy, there should be a rubric for the mental health project.

I’m kind of in the same boat. I’m taking Algebra II honors and have to finish before August 1. I only started one month ago but still have 5 modules left.

What’s so bad about taking it in school? That class was the most relaxed, fun I’ve had in high school. Me and my group of friends all met on that class. reminisces

For me, I have to take it online because the school I’m going to starts 9th graders in Pre-Calc.

How does that affect HOPE?

Niquii77 - It’s because I want a certain set of classes, and I won’t get to take all of them if I take certain other mandatory classes, in school. So I took in online.

Weeknd -The rubric is like - 10 pts for character development, 15 pts for using both characters. It’s not even a real rubric. I don’t like the class. And yes it is easy, but it’s just a blaah class.
MoveItLikeBernie - I have to take HOPE so I’ll have room for Drama II since I love Theatre.

Dude just read the examples provided.
All i wrote was like 5 scenes a paragraph each about a kid who loved his best friend and she rejects him and he becomes depressed.
boom 100

I dropped HOPE and am taking personal fitness online instead… way easier.

My PE teacher found out he was getting fired after we started (it’s one semester, freshman year, and we had it after Xmas) so we didn’t do s–t.

ibworldstudent- We can’t we HAVE to take HOPE. It sucks. And are you In IB? I used to be.
