Fml. I'm so disappointed.

OP: ****. My teacher and I were expecting a 4, and I got a 2. You’re complaining because you passed the exam.

Wow. I can’t believe you’re unhappy with a 4. I understand, though. You must be an overachiever. I, too, am often not pleased with grades that are still A’s. (“It could have been higher.”) is what I always say.

Anyway, a four is GREAT! I’d kill to have that score. I don’t know what I made, but I’m sure a 4 is MUCH better than what I’ll be getting back.

There’s so much irony in this statement that I’m upset.

kitkat you did fine, but just so you know, if you said that to real life friends, you would probably lose them.

Dont listen to Saugus, not everyone is as smart and Arrogant as him/her.

Thanks to everyone who posted in this. I got a 4 too (expected a 5) and these responses made me laugh and get over myself.

^^
Oh yes, how very arrogant of me. Not that’s it’s arrogant to say “■■■” over a 4 or anything. Even if my intention was to be arrogant and condescending, frankly, the OP deserved it.

My point was that this is an exam where you kind of can know what you got, and I was simply asking the OP if there’s anything that could have prevented him/her from getting a 5, like not finishing an essay. Otherwise, it might have been worth re-scoring.

But apparently I have offended the thought police who will jump on anyone for any perceived breach of their social standards.

have to back up Saugus here. Saugus looked like he/she was genuinely trying to help the OP look for a solution. I would also like to add my two cents.

There are many people out there that would kill just to pass the AP exam, in other words, for a 3. A “4” is a respectable score and does not make someone sub-average or “kill” one’s chances at a college. The worst that can happen is that person ends up going to an extremely selective school that rarely accepts 4’s and only 5’s (Harvard per se) and doesn’t get the credit.

From my experiences, there’s usually 2 scenarios for people who complain about these types of scores…

1: The person knows deep inside that a 4 is a good score but pretends to be upset in order to show off and rub people the wrong way. I am NOT accusing you of this, but just want to make it clear that there are too many of these types and it really is starting to get on my nerves when someone “complains” about a score that one is secretly content about.

2: The person has a perfectionist mind and is TRULY upset at a 4. How can you tell? Usually, they don’t overexaggerate and say “omg, i’m a failure my life is over”, and go about telling everyone. Rather, they keep it to themselves, try to figure out what they did wrong, accept the score, learn from it and carry on. Actions speaker louder than words.

Again, I am NOT trying to offend anyone (I apologize if I did), these are simply my observations. Honestly people, a few scores on some standardized exams do not determine whether you are smart, dumb, a success, or failure, nor will it make/break your college application (assuming that’s what most people on these forums worry about nowadays)

A 4 is a fine score.

Guys, I’m over it and I’m really happy (and grateful) with my score now - especially after finding out some of my friends failed. I’m gonna go frame my 4 on the wall (jk). But really, today I found out I got a 5 on my APUSH Exam, and I’m elated! So hey, I got “a” 5, at least! It’s all good now, really. :)

**** *****. At least you got a 4. I swear CC users are such egotists. A 4 is not the end of the world. Plenty of people got 3s and 4s and got the same credit. nbd. now shut up and move on with summer.

@leomessi17: In case you didn’t see my post above, I have “move[d] on with summer,” thank you very much.

First of all, I am glad that you (kitkat) are feeling better now.

To everyone ripping kitkat, please stop. Is it BAD for someone to have HIGH expectatations? Just because you would have killed for a 4, does not mean everyone else would have. I applaud her for wanting to get the highest score possible. There are a lot of people who get upset over low A’s.

Wow that is terrible. Now you might have to go to your local community college.

Do you even know where you want to go to school yet? My school won’t even take any of the English tests. I got a 4 and it didn’t even matter. They won’t take the credit and you still have to take a placement test. So maybe you’ll pick a school where it won’t matter either.
