Focusing of Studying

Is anyone else having a hard time focusing on studying for APs and SATs and just stuff in general? I always sit down and get distracted by something. -_- Any tips?

No, I don't have ADHD lol.

Yes! Someone told me that it may help to log out of CC.

^haha exactly, this site has been really bad for my attention span…as APs are coming up i’m thinking of blocking this site on my computer for a few weeks, or maybe i’ll just try to have a technology free weekend where i just read and study…

Wow, I even spelled the title of this post wrong, as usual…

^LOL, I didn’t even notice. Guess I’m not focusing either :o.

Same here. I’m usually super productive whenever I’m in an area with bad internet service, or when my laptap’s out of battery.

It’s really hard for me to study. I’ve been busy with preparing for a big event at my school (went on yesterday), and then I’ve had this icky thing called homework. Overall, I’m just pooped and would love to just be able to take a vacation.

My way of making time for studying is by planning out my life, hour-by-hour. I suppose it helps, but sometimes things don’t follow the schedule and I once again, cannot concentrate.

I must agree that just looking through all the posts on here is way more time consuming than one realizes while they read. I’ll look at the clock and think, “WHOA! I’ve been on CC for 40 minutes already?”

LOL I think we all have a hard time doing that. What I do is get a quiet spot in the house, in the middle of nowhere, where there are NO possible distractions. I don’t bring my laptop or ipod, just the textbook and paper and pencil I need to finish my homework and studying. Or, I go to the library. Don’t get an isolated room, because I tend to get distracted with my phone when I’m alone. Just sit in one of those chairs in the main room and get yourself to study. It’s actually pretty effective… :D
