Hi! I will be submitting my application to my top choice school either today or tomorrow. My counselor says I should send an email to the rep from my state and also any other reps that have helped me.
What should I write in these emails?
I’m really bad with writing emails-- it makes me super nervous.
If anyone had any advice about what I should say I would really appreciate it.

@puellaromana3 - the usual advice I have seen from other posters on CC is not to bother AOs with emails, but if your counselor recommends it, I would send a small note saying “I applied and I look forward to hearing from you” or something on those lines.
thank you!
I think your GC is naïve. Don’t send the email to some faceless AO unless it’s with someone you already met through a presentation or college fair event.
Writing emails is like making posts here. Adults use email very easily to communicate ideas. It’s not very formal – not as informal as snapchat or text. But it’s nothing you should be afraid of. INdeed, even this very reply would be typical of an email I’d send. Your first post was as well – you’ll be fine sending emails.
Yeah I’ve met all the reps before, either through interviews or on campus events. I’ll try to write a good email. I think it’s just that my anxiety freaks me out. I don’t want to offend anyone.
I would not send that email as it adds absolutely nothing to your application. They will see that you submitted an application. Admissions officers are not looking for more to read this time of year.
