Food and Dining Halls

I’m going to be entering Revelle College in the fall of 2015. Am I restricted to just Revelle’s dining hall, or can I visit those in Muir and Marshall?

@nehan2015‌ You can eat wherever you like.

Thank you @groverrohan‌
Also, the menu online seems pretty good. Does it actually taste good?

64 Degrees food isn’t bad. The fact that we don’t have all-you-can-eat means food is more expensive, but better quality. You get bored of it quickly, though, which is why it’s nice having as many dining halls as we do.

Is Indian or Thai food available? Are there many vegetarian options?

@nehan2015‌ I’m a vegetarian, and I haven’t had any major issues yet. 64 Degrees has a tofu bowl at the wok, two vegan burger patties and a veg hot sandwich at the burger lounge, vegetarian salad and sandwich options, among other choices. Other dining halls have at least some vegetarian options, and Muir has a completely vegan dining hall called Roots that is about a ten minute walk from the Revelle dorms.

There is a Thai restaurant in the Student Center by Revelle/Muir called Hi Thai. They have many vegetarian options and give you a lot of food for the price. Bombay Coast in Price Center has the worst Indian food you’ll ever set eyes on, but there are off-campus options such as Punjabi Tandoor and Tandoori Chef. Not a lot of South Indian, sadly.

Haha I think I can survive without idli and dosa  I’ve never been a big fan of South Indian food. North Indian all the way!
