Food Service

On the USNA forum there has been a LOT of discussion recently about the poor quality of the food service. Was curious to hear from those currently associated with USAFA about your experience with the food service.

It's certainly far from perfect or ideal, but from what I've heard about Annapolis, it isn't near as bad.

It's also been getting better in the recent months, they've taken away some of the "what-is-it" meals and added some new ones...still relatively few GOOD meals, but most of the food is decent now, in my opinion.

Maybe someone else thinks differently, though.

agreed that the food is getting better. it still is far from matching other AFB dining halls i've been too, but then again they don't serve 4000+ ppl at the same time. the biggest thing still lacking is breakfast

mmmm...scrambled egg disks...

It is getting better, but it's not great. So far, I've only had to ask "what is that?" once this year. It happened to be "Philly Cheesesteak" in a very compact form.
Mitch's takes the approach of quantity over quality (although sometimes neither seems to happen).

Last year (before it started improving), my physics teacher commented that the food served in the AOR was much better. The WP exchange cadet also commented that WP had better food. I have not heard our Navy exchange cadet make such comments...

Honestly, it's probably better than half of what my HS cafeteria offered (I didn't eat my HS's food too often, lol).

Really, we are fed more than enough and the food quality is fine. I think that should answer your questions with the comments above. I ask that you please not let the crap going on in the Navy forums and all the banter there spill over here. Thank you.

I am in full agreement the HG. I am so glad I am part of the AF family. See you all at PW.

LOL...I agree with HG, but I have no control on what others post on the other forums !!!!
