How is the food during basic? During the academic year? What is a typical, most often served, and/or favorite meal at the Academy? Is Mitchell Hall open on the weekends? Also I read that you can place an order from Arnie’s and they will deliver it to your door for a late night snack while you are studying. Is this true and if so can fourthclass cadets do this or is it a privledge only for upperclassmen.

Food in basic isn't too bad. Usually, you're just so hungry that everything tastes yummy, especially since you can't have food at any time but mealtime. But you will be fine, I am one of the pickiest eaters around and I thought it was pretty good in BCT....and now. B-fast and lunch are mandatory meals from M-F. Breakfast 2-3x a week is some sort of breakfast sandwich, then 2-3x something like pancakes, french toast, eggs and potatoes, or some other warm b-fast. There is also cereal (I always get lucky charms), yogurt, fruit, juice, and milk. Lunch can be a variety of things. My favorites are hamburgers, meatball subs, pastas, and especially calzones. Dinner is optional and is served buffet style. Favorites there are pasta, calzones, and lasagna. You can either eat dinner in Mitch's (at ease only for 4*) or take it back to your room and eat it (touch and go). Weekends are always open, all meals are optional and served like dinner during the week, buffet style. Usually the breakfasts on the weekends are much better with real eggs and such occasionally (yes, our scrambled eggs are made from a powder, I still like them though). You can order godfather's pizza from arnold hall on the weekends only. I don't think uppers even have that during the week, but I'm not sure.
