Football season

Few suprises so far.

As expected, Michigan's Defense is decent and will get better as the season progresses. We had a bad first half vs Utah, but otherwise, the defense seems to be adequate.

Again, as expected, Michigan's offense is going to need time to develop. We lost most of our starters and we have a new coaching staff and philosophy. I do not expect the offense too look much better over the next 2-3 games. I expect our team to come out of the mid season with a less than stellar 3-3 record. Our losses will primarily be due to our offense's inability to move the ball.

However, come mid season, the offense is going to start posting solid (not dominant mind you, we are still a year or two away from having a good-great offense) numbers.

This coming week's game vs Notre Dame is interesting. I expect our defense to be effective but our offense is going to continue to struggle. I expect the game to be close, but in the end, I think a trip to South Bend will prove to be too much for our your team to handle. I hope I am wrong.

i could see ND beating U of M (especially if Notre Dame actually comes to play) but i just as easily could see U of M blow ND out. Michigan seems to rise to the challenge when it comes to ND so who knows. One thing's for sure, though...it will be a good game and the tail gating is going to be FIERCE in south bend!!

It's "Pick 'em" in ND this weekend, oddsmakers don't see a favorite because Notre Dame looked horrible against SDSU.

Michigan has looked really bad their first two games. All their points against Utah were because Utah screwed up and turned the ball over in their territory. If Miami didn't stall when they put together long drives and settle for field goals, it's much closer game.

I am not impressed by the secondary, and it is definitely a main concern as we head forward into the season. I hope Notre Dame breaks out the green jerseys and I hope we stomp on them.
