I have a guest coming this weekend and since I have season tickets for the sports this year, I'd like to take him to the IU vs. Virgina game this Saturday. How would I go about doing that? Would he be able to sit in the student section with me or will I have to buy him a regular ticket and sit in the non-student sections?

Try to buy a student ticket from someone who has one and isn’t using it. Not sure if you have to borrow a student ID to show with the ticket. Your student ticket is good for the non-student sections (unless the game is sold out, lol) but a ticket in the non-student section will cost your friend much more than what he/she probably would want to pay.

Won’t work. The student football tickets are electronic this year - coded into your CampusAccess card.

However, I believe you can buy a guest ticket for the student section for a reasonable price.

Ahhh, sorry for steering you in the wrong direction. D3 is studying abroad this semester, so I didn’t know the process had changed. Are basketball tickets electronic too?

Not sure, because basketball season hasn’t started yet… but I would assume so. They just scan the bar code at the gate now.

Well the thing about basketball is that it is not GA like football. I don’t know how they would do assigned seating if they just scanned everyone’s student ID at the door.

Probably won’t do it for basketball, then!
