My son is an incoming freshman for Fall 2013. It looks like the student price for football season tickets is $98. Great bargain, I hope he goes to lots of games. Thinking about getting him season tickets as a gift. Looks like he'll need to do the purchasing himself though, logging in with his Cal ID, etc. That's fine.

Question: if we let him buy a pair of season tickets (I think two is the max), does he have to bring another student with him, or can he invite anyone? Can he re-sell the tickets if he can't make a game? Does he have to re-sell them to other students?

I called the ticket office, but they're not home.

Just found this from last year…answered most of my questions. It appears he can’t resell them, as they’re basically just attached to his student ID card. If anyone has other insight, please let me know. Thanks.
This year’s home schedule includes Northwestern, Ohio State, Arizona, and USC so the tickets are a worthy investment. Your son should receive an e-mail in June or July with information about purchasing new student season passes.

He can also electronically transfer his ticket for any games he cannot make to any student with a valid Cal ID.
