I know...I know...You WANT to quantify your chances for admissions but seriously...you're all gonna get the SAME answer!

I know it's easy for me to say now that this college stuff is over but really, here is an answer to all of your "Chance me's"

If you SAT/ACT score is below average then improve it.

and unless you won the nobel prize or wrote a famous book or something, your chances for admission are always variable.

Just remember it's not as hard as it seems! If you took tons of APs, got decent grades, studied for the SATs, were reasonably involved in the community, and was a leader (Not only school president but even secretary of like a small club) then really you've done all you could.

Now the rest is in the admission's peoples hands.

Here are some things to start thinking about if you plan to do early decision:

Start writing your essay. One of the options is "whatever you want to write about" so basically the ball is in your court. If you don't have inspiration then write down or even brainstorm ideas of what you could write about. Good essays can be about ANYTHING...it's just in the delivery.

Fill out the preliminary stuff of the common app. Your clubs, and awards are not going to change tremendously from now to November so filling out this basic stuff can save a lot of time.

Think about who you want to ask for a recommendation.

Think about your supplement. Yes, I know that it's not up yet but basically again it's whatever you want. You could write a poem, make a video, make a scrapbook, write another essay (but keep it to around 500 words)...basically show your creativity. So think about it and maybe start working on it?

Keep up your grades and don't freak out.

Good luck!! :))

p-s: If this comes off as rude or arrogant to anyone...that is SO not what I intended :PP
