I can't even log in to check my financial aid, and it says that one should be able to even if they have not yet received an admission decision.

Try your SSN + pin to check financial aid- I keep forgetting my BUID so I just use that instead.

ur SSnumber is also your ID and you can change ur pin

My daughter gets "Not yet evaluated" when logging into financial aid and she gets the nasty message about you don't belong here and your session has been terminated in Quikpay. She was deferred EA. Lots of kids from her school haven't heard back. What good is a polite rejection letter when all these painful clues are online?

No mail today, maybe tomorrow... or Friday... or Saturday.... gah.

I assume it's taking awhile for transfers, since all the EA and RD people have been waiting awhile.

Wait so---

Your estimated cost of attendance is $19,180.00.
You have been awarded financial aid which totals $.00.
Based on your academic transcript, the status of your academic progress is Not Yet Evaluated as of Fall 2009.

This is what you're getting basically, right? After selecting award year 2009-10?

Don't give up hope yet Muffy. Not one EA deferral has received their decision yet, and it wouldn't surprise me if the adcoms are in the process of reviewing deferrals right now.

corretto joe, no actual financial aid or tuition numbers at all just the "not yet evaluated as of Fall 2009." or something similar. I think just the last part of what you have.

where does it say estimated cost of attendance?

yea all it says is not yet evaluated as of Fall 2009

Okay well... that stuff was my bf's---so can I assume anything about his app status?

If you go to the financial aid tab and select your award year.

yea mine doesnt say estimated cost of attendance there...,maybe they just havent reviewed my application yet? is that a possibility maybe they didnt make a decision on me yet?

If you click Overall Financial Aid Status at the bottom of the page, you'll get something like...

Your estimated cost of attendance is $27,280.00.
Based on your academic transcript, the status of your academic progress is Not Yet Evaluated as of Fall 2009.

I'm almost as anxious about finaid as I am about being accepted in general.

I think there is a possibility they haven't finished reviewing you yet because my friends have called and they said that their app hasn't even really been looked at yet because of the enormous number of applicants.

And for someone who said their PIN for login expired (not sure if it was this thread,) I remember that mine did too (finally remembered why I had to change my PIN haha) and I was accepted... so don't take that to mean anything! Have hooopppee!

But, transfer, you were accepted, weren't you?

And, we should all be getting not yet evaluated for academic progress, haha---considering we're not enrolled yet?

"Status of Academic Progress is based on your academic performance for each term that you are enrolled. Progress towards the completion of your program of study is also a factor.
I THINK so, but have gotten no letter or email or anything else for that matter. All I can tell is I'm eligible to pay a deposit.

joe wen were u accepted? didnt u say u didnt know yet last night?

D doesn't have any numbers at all, just the not yet evaluated part. I pressed like all the links...okay, now I need to go get a life....

David: I was accepted a couple weeks ago---I'm stressing over my bf's app status right now haha. Sorry if I'm being extremely confusing...

Transfer: I'm pretty sure that's an acceptance, haha... do you have multiple e-mails? They send my reg. e-mail all this random info, but they sent my acceptance e-mail to some random one I don't even remember giving them. Unless they got it from collegeboard... because I use that e-mail for collegeboard. Hm. Weirddd.

Muffy: Hear, hear. I totally should be studying right now actually... that doesn't exactly equal life.

Then again, a lot of schools' finaid and admission processes are completely separate (or so they say... and this doesn't have to do with the deposit thing but the award thing.)

I just got an email from Binghamton reminding me of my PIN... really weird.

Anyone else get this?
