? for California Moms-CSF gear for graduation

At awards night, DS got his cords, a pin and a tassel for CSF to wear at graduation. (To my surprise, no kids got the gold stole to wear although they are all lifetime members so I guess it's a school thing.)

Where does the pin go on the gown? It's the little pin that looks like a lamp.

Do I replace his regular high school tassel with the CSF one or just stick both on his cap? I put both on just for now to see how it looks and to me, it looks cute with both-yellow one has CSF and blue and white hs one has 2013. DS doesn't know or care but I'm a little worried the button on the cap will come off with both strings under it.

The cords just hang around the neck but one side has a medal on it so it keeps slipping down on that side. Did you just pin them to the gown on at the back of the neck? He also has a medal that he wears around his neck but it sure seems like a lot of stuff to pile on.

Probably like a lot of the country, the gown is from Jostens and needs ironing but geez, it looks like paper. Have any of you pressed it yet and any tips for me? It looks like it would melt!

Thanks in advance for any instructions.

Don’t iron the gowns!! Steam it or hang it in the bathroom and run the shower on hot for awhile.

When they get to the school, the staff will show them. The additional tassel went on my kids caps with the school tassel.
Our school had the drape, so the pin went on the drape. The cords didn’t have a metal piece. The medal went around the neck.
Agree with soccer gurl, do not iron, steam instead in the bathroom. I just left it hanging in the bathroom for a couple of days and while the kids showered, the steam took out the wrinkles.

I just asked my son about this since he brought his stuff home after the academic awards ceremony and put them away. He’s a lifetime member. He just received the drape and pin (and certificate). Only the club officers at his school received tassels. Neither of us know anything about cords and medals (worn around the neck?).
