waitinforapril, this means he’s been accepted. Congratulations!
It’s official - admissions office says so!

@Wej

Thanks, that is great news! I take it you called them?

^^um, what? according to whom? i read elsewhere on these boards that every applicant receives that email…

Okay, people, read the threads.

Anyone who got the email has been accepted. Multiple individuals called the admissions office and were told they were accepted as a result without having to confirm I.D., etc.

Congrats if you got the email.

Hahahaha, really? That’s what the e-mail means? Because the first time I looked at it, I was like “huh”, then didn’t think anything about it. Hahahahaha wow, I just overlooked my acceptance letter???!!

It’s not an official acceptance letter - that comes April 1st. They decided to send out a vague email to anyone accepted (so don’t worry about THAT) to suggest travel plans without saying ‘You might want to ACTUALLY think about these because you ACTUALLY got in.’ I don’t know why.

But, yes, you’re in. :-)

Congrats!

Hello and greetings from NYU Undergraduate Admissions!

Last week we notified all freshman applicants of upcoming deadlines and event dates for our admissions process. Now, we write to you - and only a select group of applicants - again to remind you of our events for accepted students:

this means ur admitted to NYU.

Some people are still curious to know if this actually means u got in.
The Answer is “Yes”

I called them 3 times in order to make it sure (i called my 2 of my friends called them for me)

so if I didn’t get an email does this mean I didn’t get accepted?

^No, it does not mean you were rejected. Not all those that are accepted get likely e-mails.

hiya i was accepted into Tisch for theatre New Playwrites Horizons…

what kind of laptop does NYU want ???

Uh, maybe you should try a new thread…
